On the Road Again #SOLC15 - 3/16

Back from wedding weekend, and on the road back to the metroplex for more travels!  This trip we are visiting my brother and his girlfriend and then Aaron's (bf) uncle.  No real plans.  I just thought it might be nice to visit some family on our spring break.  I forget, though, how difficult it is to travel.  Did I pack for enough days? Did I pack clothes for the right weather?  What if we go for a run?  What if we go out somewhere nice?  What if we go somewhere nice, and it's nice outside, but it's cold in the restaurant?  Do these shoes match everything I brought? Did I pack enough socks?  Did I even pack undies?  Are the dishes clean? Did we leave enough food for the animals?  Did I leave anything plugged in?  Are the instructions I left for our house/pet sitter detailed enough? ... you get the point, I guess...  I worry.  I over-plan.

So anyway, we are at my mom's house for the night.  A quick stay-over, and then on to the grand old DFW!  So far, so good.  I don't really have a juicy slice for today.  I got my oil changed, got my CDL so I can drive a bus, and cleaned out my car... that I could live out of probably.  Not now, because I had to empty it to travel.  But normally, when the stuff goes down, my car is the place to be.  There are clothes, probably food, tools.  All kinds of things!!

I have a couple of slice ideas I am kind of working on, but I haven't had time to write something I think it worth publishing yet.  Until I get my head cleared out... hasta luego slicers.

  1. I just always focus on what I can't replace with my credit card: medications, wallet, etc. Sometimes it seems like more work to leave that to stay but the payoff is much better. Enjoy your spring break!

  3. Sounds like fun. Your questions bring up the excitement mixed with anxiousness.
