Wedding weekend - #SOLC15. - 3/7

My phone is not working. I hope I am not disqualified bc my phone isnt working. The blogger app has closed 4 times now. I'm going to try to write anyway.
So, my cousin is married. He's married! He is the first person in our family who has ever gotten married. And here I am. The oldest
On both sides
Unmarried
And I dont care.
It's hard to be the oldest kid
On both sides
Unmarried
And not caring
Because you're supposed to be the trail blazer. The number one. The kid that does everything first. But I am not in any way upset. Its good. To see my cousin's face as he pledged his undying, forever-love to his new wife was perfect.  It was easily the best part of the night. I could not be happier for my cousin and his new wife. Maybe I'll be next. Maybe I won't be. Maybe I'll never be married.  Maybe it will be tomorrow!
I promise better posts when I'm not taking care of a wasted cousin, and our twin moms. Promise. :)

  1. Oh, your day sounds like mine! I didn't go to a wedding, but another big event got in the day of peacefulness in writing! Kudos to you for persevering!

  3. You are definitely a trail blazer. It's not easy task being the oldest not married. And not caring. Sometimes I feel like I'm the oldest anywhere not (never) married, but I imagine that's probably unlikely. We will find our people sometime! Congrats to your cousin. :)

  4. Oldest and learning it is okay where you are. Good for you. You will have many special days to come. Days where you will be first and others that will be in the middle. Just be you!
